Socrates, the great Greek philosopher had said, “I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.” This inspirational thought guides our efforts at school where we seek to nurture independent, thinking minds.
A critical-thinking exercise ‘The Mock Caldecott Awards Activity’! organized for the children of Grade 5, was a part of this effort.

The Mock Caldecott Activity @ TSRSVV
The school carried out the activity to evaluate books with children enabling them to be aware of the qualities of a good picture book and practice reading for deep meaning and appreciate the subtleties of literature.
Sixty children of Grade 5 participated in this activity. They spent over two enriching hours engaged in reading and evaluating the books.
