A curriculum for Physical Education is in place to ensure that children are trained in loco-motor skills, physical fitness, body control skills and object control skills, besides being exposed to the aforementioned sports at age appropriate levels.
At the Elementary level, children have half an hour of PE activity every day, and at the level of grades 2 to this is four times a week.
Fun Races are exactly that! An event for the students of Pravesh Vatika, Upvan and grade 1, the races are designed around a theme, keeping in mind the skills that the students learn in their PE and Yoga classes. With everyone participating, students run their races house wise against peers from the same Form and the driving force is enjoyment and fun rather than competition.
‘Shri Explorers’ is an event that provides an opportunity to the students of Pravesh Vatika, Upvan and grade 1 to turn ‘explorer’ for a day!
For ‘Shri Explorers’ the school campus wears the look of an adventure camp with stations of different adventure sports set up across the school grounds like, Rock climbing (on an artificial wall), Obstacle Course, Burma Bridge, Flying fox et al and teachers don the hats of camp guides.
Every student, accompanied by a parent, tries a hand at the sports on offer.
Fun races are held in alternation with Shri Explorers.
A much awaited event of the year, the Sports Day, due to its unique format, pays tribute to individual excellence as well as team work.
Awards are given to the best athlete – boy and girl, on the basis of the total number of gold medals won, in each grade.
To reward the spirit of Sportsmanship, an award is presented to a student on the basis of his/her conduct on the sports field across the many years he/she has been in school
