Kargha & Rasoi : Texture & Taste of India…A PTA Initiative(2nd – 4th December 2019)


As we stay true to the word and spirit of our mission statement, the week gone by witnessed yet again the parent community come into action to make learning meaningful and enjoyable for the children.

Aligned closely to the school core value of “Pride in our heritage” the PTA organised  “Kargha”, a textile festival encapsulating workshops on Block printing, Tie and dye, screen printing and Madhubani, providing the students with hands-on experience to the rich textile heritage of India. The two-day workshops culminated with “Rasoi” a food festival organised for the children. The delectable home-made dishes were savoured by the students providing the palette with tastes across the length and breadth of India. Showcased on the day were also demonstrations of weaving on the charkha, embroidery on shawls, Madhubani painting and tie and dye stations. The artisans being a Presidential medal awardee and others of repute and expertise in their respective fields.
